Addressing four great challenges, the superiors of the SCJ entities of Europe began their annual meeting last night (March 6). They are meeting in Foligno (Italy) at the Istituto Missionario – Villa la Quiete, from Monday, March 6 through Friday, March 10. The South Italian Province is hosting the gathering.
The four major topics to be addressed include the issue of migration in Europe, volunteering (not only missionary but also social) and the projects of new presences of the Congregation in Europe (Parish, London, Basel, Amsterdam and Eastern Europe), as well as the eventual need to face the challenge of formation structures in Europe. During the meeting the group will also visit nearby Assisi.
In addition to the eleven major superiors, delegates from the different European entities and Dehonian activities are present.
