In his 74 year of life, 57 year of religious profession and 48 of priesthood, on June 16, 2021, father Józef Kusek SCJ died in hospital in Staszów. He was currently living in Pacanów where he was chaplain to nuns.
He was born on January 1, 1947 in Szalejów Górny. He made his first religious vows on October 9, 1963 in Pliszczyn, and was ordained a priest on June 9, 1973 in Stadniki.
He was vicar in Stadniki, Kraków, Florynka and Sosnowiec; parson in Stopnica, Gołąb and Florynka. He served in the Office for Benefactors in Kraków, as an econom of the religious house in Stadniki and superior in Pliszczyn. He has served the nuns in Pacanów for the last ten years.
His humanity was revealed in simple gestures of kindness to people he met. He was especially distinguished by his solidarity with the suffering confreres and the parishioners entrusted to his care.
