The Portuguese province celebrates the admission of two young candidates to the novitiate.
It was with great joy that, on August 19th, the House of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, in Aveiro, received two new novices. The new novices, Nuno Gomes (Portuguese Province) and Ante Delic (District of Austria-Croatia) were admitted by the Provincial Superior of the Portuguese Province, Fr. João Nélio, on the memorial day of St. John Eudes.
After the presentation of the candidates, the novice master, Fr. João Nélio gave a short homily in which he explained that the novitiate time is a period of encounter with God and with oneself, but also a privileged time to stop for greater knowledge and identification with the Congregation. This was followed by the admission to the novitiate, the signatures in the book of minutes and finally, the novices received the Rule of Life of the Congregation from the hands of the Provincial Superior.
Once the religious ceremony was over, the celebration and fellowship lunch followed. It was at this moment that the newly novices expressed their great joy for having taken such a significant step in their vocational journey.
