Five SCJ confreres made their perpetual vows in the Polish Province.
On December 8, the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary, in the presence of Father provincial Sławomir Knopik SCJ, five confreres made their perpetual profession of the evangelical counsels in the Congregation of the Priests of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. They are Jacek Kowal, Szymon Szubarczyk, Krzysztof Witek, Szymon Włodarczyk and Mateusz Zawiłowicz.
The ceremony was attended by parents and families, parish priests from their home parish, Dehonians from Poland and abroad (among them fathers from the international SCJ community in Nijmegen in the Netherlands).
General Carlos Luis Suarez Codorniú was also with us spiritually, writing the following words: «Cordial greetings from Mombasa in the Congo, where I arrived on December 5th. I am here on a visit and I am making a small spiritual triduum, also for those of our confreres who are preparing to make their perpetual vows. I embrace them with my prayers, that they may be people of hope, joy, trust in God, that they may truly embrace with all their hearts the charism that we received from our Founder. I am sending the greetings to our perpetual brothers, as well as Fr. superior Dariusz and the whole community. I look back with great joy on the days we shared together. I am sending strong hugs”.
Congratulations to our perpetually professed confreres and their loved ones with all our hearts!
