One of the great event that takes place every year in our district is the Assembly. Assembly is being held in our district for the sharing, discussions, evaluations, making plans for the future. Over all, it is for the growth of our district and the confreres. This year most us had been participated in our Assembly from 23rd to 25th of August 2016 in Chennai.
On the First day of the Assembly, we began with adoration and recollection talk given by Fr. Michael Augustine. After the adoration, There was district superior’s presentation and also discussion over his presentation. In the afternoon there was a presentation from District treasurer and discussion over the presentation. There was also groups discussion and sharing on the first day of Assembly
On the second day, at first there was presentation of Fr. Thomas Cassidy based on the six years plan prepared by the district council. After his presentation, District secretary also presented about the communication and the secretary office. In the afternoon, time was given for all the formation communities to present about the activities and future plans of their communities.
On the third day of assembly, there was a presentation from the part of parish communities, where all the parish communities shared about the activities they do in the parishes. After that we had commission meetings in groups. After the commissions meeting groups, each commissions presented about their plans for the future. At the end we had evaluation of the assembly.
Many of the confreres were happy about the assembly, since we introduced new things in the assembly. There were 35 confreres who participated in this assembly. Thanks be to God, and for all who worked for this great meeting. Let us continue praying for the district.
