Fr. Levi dos Anjos Ferreira was appointed Vicar General.

On September 20, 2024, Fr. Levi dos Anjos Ferreira, General Councillor of the Congregation of Priests of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, was appointed Vicar General.

The Vicar General, according to the General Directory of the Congregation (DG 133.2), is the first among the councillors and carries out the activities determined by the Superior General.

Fr. Levi dos Anjos Ferreira was born on May 8, 1972 in Formiga, state of Minas Gerais, Brazil.

He entered the minor seminary of Lavras in 1988, made his first profession in 1994 and perpetual vows on February 23, 2002. He was ordained to the priesthood on December 14, 2002, in the Central Brazil Province.

In 2003 he was transferred to the community of Handrup, in the German Province, where he carried out various activities.

Between 2011 and 2013 he studied Spiritual Theology at the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome.

Between 2013 and 2018 he was Formator and Director of the Theological Seminary in Freiburg, Germany.

He was elected General Councillor at the 2018 General Chapter. He was elected General Councillor again at the 2024 Chapter.
