On the occasion of the celebration of Dehonian memory, confreres of the Congolese Province visited the Makiso cemetery, where our martyred missionaries are buried.
The celebration of the sixtieth anniversary of the martyrdom of our confreres took place in D.R. Congo on November 25 and 26, 2024.
On November 25, the confreres of the Congolese Province visited the Makiso cemetery, where our missionaries, martyred by the Simba rebels in 1964, are buried. There they prayed the rosary in memory of these missionaries of the Gospel.
The following day, November 26, the day of the Dehonian memorial itself, a Eucharist was celebrated at the Maison Sacré-Coeur in Kisangani, with the participation of many religious, Dehonian lay people and confreres present in Kisangani.
We give thanks to God for the witness of faith of our martyrs and for the seed they sowed.
