Colegio Padre Dehon in the Spanish city of Novelda has just been recognized in the list of the best schools in the Alicante Province, ranking 15th in the list compiled by MiCole. This great achievement is the result of the collective effort of the entire school community: students, families, and the teaching staff.
The school was founded in 1920, during the lifetime of the founder of the Dehonians – Fr. Léon Dehon. At the beginning, it had only 150 students. However, over time, this number grew rapidly. Today, it is one of the centers with the largest number of students, around 1,150. Colegio Padre Dehon certainly contributes to the development of the city of Novelda, providing a high-quality educational model that also attracts students from other cities.
Today, the school community continues to work to offer high-quality education. What is really important, it is a Catholic school that also emphasizes the transmission of Christian values, among which truth, freedom, and beauty are of utmost importance. All of this makes the school strongly committed to building the “Kingdom of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in souls and societies,” a mission that was so dear to Fr. Léon Dehon, who dedicated all his strength and life to this cause.
