Blessing of the Renovated Provincial House SCJ in Warsaw
Created and inaugurated 30 years ago, the provincial house of the Priests of the Sacred Heart in Warsaw was officially blessed after two years of intensive renovation and modernisation.
After two years of intensive renovation and modernization, the Provincial House of the Sacred Heart Fathers in Warsaw has been officially blessed. The ceremony, presided over by Provincial Superior Fr. Sławomir Knopik SCJ, gathered numerous members of the congregation, clergy, and laypeople associated with the life and mission of the Provincial House.
Established and inaugurated 30 years ago, the Provincial House has been a key place for many significant events in the history of the congregation. It has hosted General Conferences (2006), Provincial Chapters and Conferences, as well as numerous formation and organizational meetings. Over the years, it has served not only the local community but also missionaries, priests, religious sisters, and lay guests.
The general renovation, which began on September, 2023, aimed to adapt the building to modern technical and functional standards. The work included upgrading installations, waterproofing, replacing the roof, and restructuring the space to accommodate both the religious community and rental apartments.
During the ceremony, Fr. Sławomir Knopik SCJ expressed his gratitude to everyone involved in the project. He extended special thanks to the main contractor and his team, as well as the committee overseeing the renovation. He also emphasized the importance of the spiritual support received from all Sacred Heart communities and the generosity of benefactors, whose contributions made the completion of this work possible.
“May this house, now newly blessed and reopened, serve our province, bringing glory to God and supporting the mission of our congregation,” said Fr. Sławomir Knopik SCJ in his closing remarks.
With the renovation completed, the Provincial House is once again open to all who seek support, hospitality, and a connection with the Sacred Heart community.
