The region of Venezuela celebrated the 70th anniversary of the arrival of the Dehonians in Venezuela on August 19.
The participants of the meeting, coming from the different areas of Venezuela where the Dehonians are present, gathered very early in the morning. Approximately 650 people participated in the meeting.
We began the day with Eucharistic adoration, songs, reflections and silence. Juan Yepez, regional superior, welcomed everyone. The incharge of opening of the event was given to community of Mariara, they reminded us with songs and dances the journey of the congregation in Venezuela. This was followed by the formative moment, where aspects of our charism that have been decisive in our presence in Venezuela were deepened. After lunch, there was a musical band that made us all dance and celebrate with the joy that characterizes our people. We ended the meeting with the Eucharist presided by the Regional Fr.
It was undoubtedly a very touching and endearing celebration, it made us to revitalize our faith and dedication to the Dehonian family. Young people, children, adults, elders, lay and religious, celebrated with great enthusiasm these 70 years.
We thank God for this charism that is so dear to our people and that makes us a family. We have left very motivated to continue growing and supporting each other in our region, hopeful that the Spirit will continue to lead us on new paths.
