The Servant of God Father Aloísio Boeing, scj was proclaimed “Venerable” on 23 February 2023. He was born on December 24, 1913 in Vargem do Cedro, in the State of Santa Catarina, Brazil. At the age of 11, he began his religious and priestly formation in the Congregation of the Priests of the Sacred Heart of Jesus (Dehonians), in which he made his religious profession on January 16, 1934 and was ordained a priest on December 1, 1940. Father Aloísio dedicated much of his life to the formation of new religious. While carrying out this role, he was also spiritual director of a group of young women, and with them, on August 2, 1974, he founded the “Marian Fraternity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus”. When his service as novice master ended, he was transferred to Pomerode and then to Brusque. Later, in 1984, he was transferred to Nereu Ramos, a district of Jaraguá do Sul. Here he lived until the end, assisting those who sought him for advice, help, or a blessing. He died on April 17, 2006. He was 92 years old.
On this day, we would like to commemorate the Venerable Father Aloísio Boeing in order to understand and practice his virtues. We also invite you to pray for the Beatification of the Venerable. The cause proceeds on its way to Beatification.
