Father Walerian Swoboda was born on December 20, 1940 and was 80 years old. He took his first vows on September 29, 1959 and was ordained priest on July 25, 1965.

Fr. Walerian Swoboda was born in 1940 in Rydułtowy, Poland. He made his first religious vows in 1959 in Pliszczyn, and was ordained as priest in 1965 in Stadniki. He held multiple positions in the Polish Province such as lecturer, superior, treasurer, provincial councilor, provincial secretary and secretary of foreign missions, a edition worker and a member of staff in the office for benefactors. He was a missionary in Indonesia, chaplain for blind children in Laski, Poland and a retreat master and confessor of nuns. From 2010, he belonged to the SCJ religious community in Tarnów. He died at the age of 80 in a hospital in Tarnów.
