Good news comes from the Dehonian Province of Portugal, which celebrated the diaconate ordination of Pedro Manuel Gomes de Sousa on 3 February 2018.
The community of the Dehon Center of Porto, to which the confrere belongs, together with all the Dehonian communities, confreres, and relatives, gathered around Pedro Manuel to express their support and affection, as well as to give thanks to God for this further gift to the Congregation and to the Church, calling this confrere to follow his vocation in the Dehonian congregation.
His formative journey, which led him to make his first profession with the Dehonians in 2009, continues now with a further step that led him last Saturday to receive diaconate ordination from the hands of Msgr. António Taipa, the administrator of the Diocese of Porto.
The joy of Pedro Manuel and of the people who wanted to share it with him, in the Eucharistic celebration and in the festive moments that followed, is a sign of hope for the future and light that illuminates the journey of faith at the service of the brothers.
To Pedro Manuel we extend our best wishes and gratitude for having chosen to walk together in the footsteps of Fr. Dehon.
