Dear confreres and all the members of the Dehonian Family,
We received word late last night, Wednesday, February 2, of the death Mr. Agustín Suárez in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (Spain). Mr. Augustin is the father of our Superior General, and his brother, Mr. Javier Suárez. Apart from his advanced age, his health had been deteriorating in recent days. Fr. Carlos Luis has returned home to be with his family as they prepare for the funeral.
We know that the Lord comforts those who mourn, and we ask your prayers and support for Fr. Carlos Luis and his family during this time of grief. At the same time, we are grateful for the gift of Mr. Agustin’s life and ask God to receive him in his Father’s embrace.
