Saint Paul summed up his life well: “He loved me and gave himself up for me” [Gal 2:20].
He loved me to the point of taking on human nature to become my brother, my guarantor, my Redeemer.
He loved me to the point of becoming my tutor by his examples, his words, his parables.
He loved me to the point of becoming my guarantor and the victim of my salvation in his passion and death.
