Pre-novices of the South African Province in Cameroon for novitiate
The South African SCJ Province in the last few years has been blessed with some new candidates knocking to its doors. This is a new sign of hope – or mercy – to one of the smallest SCJ entity that serves the local church of 4 million Catholics. The RSA Province a few years ago has closed its novitiate therefore five of the present pre-novices have been selected for joining the 2016 SCJ novitiate in Ndunge, Cameroon. The men come originally from South Africa, Lesotho and Zambia. They have traveled to Cameroon on 29 January 2016 together with Fr. Marek Przybyś SCJ – the provincial of the entity. For the first 6 months they will be learning French in Bafousam hosted by the SCJ community and their novitiate is to begin in August. Brothers Ralehana, John, Zachaeus, Chaka and Thabonyana – as on the photo while in Nkongsamba – ask for prayers for both them and all the SCJs in Africa.
