As announced in the 1st article of this series, the theme of identity is high on the agenda of the new General Administration. But what is it about?
Dehonian identity is presented as a gift to be received and shared, rooted in the spirituality of the Heart of Christ and the Constitutions. To better understand what this means in concrete terms, let’s read the practical guidelines that the programmatic letter gives us on this question of Identity.
Practical orientations:
-
Return to charismatic sources:
- Organize regular meetings for studying and meditating on the Constitutions and Fr. Dehon’s writings.
- Include moments of community sharing on concrete experiences of living the charism.
-
Ongoing formation:
- Develop permanent formation programs for all members, covering topics such as the spirituality of reparation, evangelical poverty, and apostolic mission.
- Invest in the preparation of qualified formators capable of connecting current challenges to the charismatic heritage.
-
Spirituality and community life:
- Promote periodic spiritual retreats focused on contemplating the Heart of Christ.
- Create formative materials to integrate the theme “Remain in my love” into daily life.
