South African Province celebrates advancements in formation on Founder’s Day
On March 14, 2018, the International Scholasticate in Pietermaritzburg (South Africa) marked Fr. Leo John Dehon’s 175th anniversary of birth with the installations of the scholasticate superior and the director of scholastics formation. Also, four scholastics received the ministry of acolyte and four as lectors.
Among those joining the community for the celebration were Bishop Zolile Mpambani, SCJ (Kokstad Diocese) and Fr. Bernard Sompane, SCJ (Provincial Superior of the RSA Province).
In his homily, Fr. Bernard mentioned our Founder’s great desire for mission, and closeness with Jesus in the Eucharist (Adoration).
