The Spanish initiative “Church for Work with Dignity” launches website

The Spanish initiative “Iglesia por el Trabajo Decente” (ITD, Church for Work with Dignity), with which the Spanish Dehonian Province has been involved since its inception, is a common place for those who are convinced of the need for decent, dignified work. Recently the organization launched a new website: www.iglesiaporeltrabajodecente.org

In this communication space will be information regarding the content and activities of the ITD: the Declaration, the promoters and associated entities, membership, planned activities, training and awareness materials, and the resources of the Church that underline the importance of dignified work. October 7, celebrated as World Day for Decent Work, will be an important day for the initiative. On the website there is a section, a “media room,” which shows the ITD today, the entities that promote it and the pastoral work of the Church.

We invite you to follow and get a sense of the protagonists of this initiative, sharing in the end goal of a dignified job for all, offering to those who are in situations which wound one’s dignity an opportunity to recover. It is hoped that the initiative will be a meeting point for many.
