With great joy, the Dehonian community of Poland welcomed the first profession of five new confreres. The celebration took place at the Stopnica Novitiate on Saturday, September 22, in the presence of the provincial superior, Fr. Wiesław Święch, SCJ.
Four of the new Dehonians come from various parts of Poland (Daniel Jamiński, Jacek Kowal, Szymon Szubarczyk and Krzysztof Witek), but among them is also Aliaksandr Piatlitski, a native of Belarus.
They prepared for this important moment in the Novitiate Community under the guidance of Fr. Witold Janus, SCJ. In particular, the last days of reflection were entrusted to Fr. Wiesław Pietrzak, SCJ, who has served as a homilist (preacher) for many years in the province.
The following day the newly professed left for Stadniki, where they will continue their preparation for the priesthood at the Major Seminary. We entrust them to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
